Oh, be joyful that you are a warrior in this great time!

Will we rise to this battle? If so, we cannot lose, for rising up to it is our victory … If we represent love in the world, you see, we have already won.
”

- Doris Haddock from her 93rd birthday speech.

My Inca Trail Trip

My Inca Trail Trip:
For the past couple of years I have daydreamed of walking along the famous Inca Trail leading directly to the gates of Machu Picchu. Now, I’m finally doing it. This morning I booked by trip with G.A.P. Adventures on a 7 day tour that includes - a guided tour of Sacred Valley, 4-day Inca Trail hike with local guide, cook and porters, and a guided tour of Machu Picchu.

I am making this journey alone and for myself. This will be a personal and spiritual journey for me. A time for growth and reflection. I am both excited and intimidated. I have 88 days to prepare myself.

A regime like Iran’s can only be brought down or changed if...

A regime like Iran’s can only be brought down or changed if enough Iranians vote as they did in 1979 — in the street. - Thomas Friedman (photo via The Big Picture)
